Starting September 23, 2025 (Tue, National Holiday), a brand-new commemorative seal inspired by the historic Fushimi Castle is on sale.
The two designs feature the family crests of Japan’s most influential warlords: Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s “Paulownia Crest” and Tokugawa Ieyasu’s “Triple Hollyhock.”
These limited-edition seals can only be obtained here in Fushimi.
The calligraphy is by Zenryū Miki of Gokōnomiya Shrine, making this not only a must-have for history enthusiasts but also a beautiful work of art – a truly Kyoto-style souvenir.
Fushimi Castle was a symbol of Momoyama culture and the birthplace of the Tokugawa shogunate. After walking through the historic sites, why not bring the memory home with a commemorative seal?
